Ball #87

I bought this ball from the Lutheran Church rummage sale. It was green swirl and I covered it with flower power in white, opaque green and black. The background is filled in with translucent green. (Thanks to finding them half price at Walmart.) Update 5-15-11 - donated to a fundraiser.

Ball #83

The final Craiglist ball. This one was a funky purple, aqua and white swirl pattern. I covered it with purple iridescent, dark purple, light purple, mini purple and translucent aqua in concentric circles. It has a large aqua at the north pole. The mini purples are at the equator and approximately at the tropics of cancer and capricorn. The repeating pattern of aqua and purple changes between each mini row. In my imagination I was going for an ombre effect. It's still only in my imagination!

I donated this ball to a fundraiser and it brought about $40.00 in a chinese auction.

Ball #71

This ball came from Mom's neighbor. He is also a member of her church and donated the ball for me to decorate and put into Mom's silent auction for the hospice. It was black and I painted it cream white and covered it with clear with light orange cat eye, clear with dark orange cat eye and orange iridescent. Mom bought it, so now she has 4 of my balls - three in her sun room and one in her dining room. (My parents are my best customers!)

Ball #63

Another aqua swirl from the Baptist church. I covered this one in a repeating 12 pattern of clear with aqua cat eye, aqua opaque, aqua with white cat eye, and aqua translucent in concentric circles. I donated this in August of 2009 to a silent auction to benefit the Aurora House (a hospice) and it was purchased as a gift for the woman who is spear-heading the entire Aurora House project. The silent auction was part of a Pig Roast benefit.

Ball #59

This ball was a deep green with sparkles and came from the Baptist Church. It was very tempting to keep it, since it was my favorite color, but it went for a good cause. I covered it with deep green translucent, light green bottle glass, light green with white cat eye, and large light green leaves in a continuous swirl pattern. I donated it to a Silent Auction that my mother organized. The auction took place at a Pig Roast in August of 2008 and was a benefit for a new hospice that is going to be built in our town.
